Medicare Advantage Plans, also known as Part C, are a type of Medicare plan offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans provide all the benefits of original Medicare (Parts A and B) and often include additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage, vision, hearing, and dental services. Medicare Advantage Plans may also offer lower out-of-pocket costs than Medicare but may require you to use doctors and hospitals within the plan's network.

Medicare Supplement Plans, or Medigap, are policies designed to supplement Medicare Parts A and B. These plans help cover some of the out-of-pocket costs Medicare doesn’t cover. This includes deductibles and copays. Medicare Supplement Plans are offered by private insurance companies and are standardized, meaning the benefits for each plan type are the same across all insurers.
At MedMario, Mario understands that choosing the right Medicare Supplement Plan can be overwhelming, which is why he is here to help.

Medicare Advantage Plans are a type of Medicare plan offered in select areas where Medicare is not available. These plans allow you to receive health care from providers outside of the plan’s network but may require you to pay higher out-of-pocket costs for out-of-network services. Medicare Advantage Plans may also include additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage and hearing and vision services.
Medicare Supplement Plans, also known as Medigap plans, are insurance policies offered by private companies to help fill in the gaps in Original Medicare coverage. Original Medicare includes Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance), but it doesn’t cover all healthcare costs. Medicare Supplement Plans are designed to cover some of the out-of-pocket expenses that beneficiaries would otherwise have to pay, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Medicare Part D constitutes an elective outpatient prescription drug benefit available to individuals covered by Medicare. This program is administered by private plans that enter into contracts with the federal government to offer these services.
NEW INSULIN BENEFIT! The cost of a one-month supply of each Part D-covered insulin is capped at $35 and you don’t have to pay a deductible. If you get a 60- or 90-day supply of insulin, your costs can’t be more than $35 for each month’s supply of each covered insulin.
Special Needs Plans (SNPs) are Medicare Advantage plans designed for individuals with specific health conditions or who require specialized care.
Mario understands that individuals with special health needs require specialized care. Mario can help you navigate your options and find the right SNP for your needs.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans often offer more tailored benefits for individuals with chronic conditions, including disease management programs, care coordination, and extra services to support their specific healthcare needs. These plans may provide coverage beyond what Original Medicare offers to address the unique challenges and healthcare requirements associated with chronic illnesses.
A Dual Medicare/Medicaid plan, also known as a Medicare-Medicaid dual-eligible plan or Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP), is a type of health insurance that combines the benefits of both Medicare and Medicaid for individuals who qualify for both programs. Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily for people age 65 and older, while Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that provides health coverage for low-income individuals and families.
